JAK Inhibitors and the Changing Landscape of Atopic Dermatitis and Alopecia Areata Management

 

This case-based educational activity will include an overview of atopic dermatitis (AD) and alopecia areata (AA), the pathophysiology, and the impact of each disease on patient quality of life, including comorbidities and associated health costs. New and emerging therapies will be discussed, including Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors, to help pharmacists identify appropriate patient selection for these agents. Faculty will provide pearls to assist pharmacists caring for patients with AD and AA.

Target Audience

This activity was planned to meet the educational needs of pharmacists involved in the care of patients with atopic dermatitis and alopecia areata.
